Pain Support Program

Team-based services for those with chronic pain to reduce and live better with pain. Includes physiotherapy, self-management education, medication management, counselling.

If you are struggling with pain and are unable to engage in life as you have before, the NFHT Pain Management Program might be for you. Our approach explores the interaction between pain and the body, mind and relationships and how they can all contribute to a person’s overall quality of life.

  • Adults 18 years of age or older
  • Experiencing non-cancer related pain
  • With impending surgery or procedures worried about their pain management
  • Through initial assessment to explore patient needs based on their personal pain experiences
  • Follow-up with appropriate providers based on their personalized needs
  • Group exploring mindfulness approaches to pain management
  • Education around pain, why we experience it and how to best manage it
  • Better understand pain and all the factors that contribute to it
  • Learn how to live your life to the fullest even though pain may still be present
  • Opportunity to explore specific goals related to function
