Mindfulness

The Northumberland Family Health Team provides free mindfulness education to the public.

Remember how fun it was putting colour to paper without the worry of making anything perfect? No artistic experience is required for this activity. This guided workshop will teach you how to not only tap into your creativity but also how to use mindfulness techniques that can carry over into other parts of your life. This workshop will explore how mindfulness can increase self-awareness, self-compassion, and self-expression.

What To Expect:

  • an introduction to Mindfulness Breath and a guided practice
  • a simple fun art exercise involving rubber bands and colouring
  • time for thoughtful reflection and respectful sharing
  • all art materials will be provided

This program is being offered in partnership with the Brighton Arts & Culture Council. The workshop is happening in the fabulous Presqu'ile Waddling Arts Centre in Brighton. The gallery features work from a variety of artists who are members of BACC.

LOCATION: Join us at the Presqu'ile Waddling Arts Centre, 23 Main St., Brighton

This program is open to the public. Programming is geared for adults.

We offer public workshops in person and often online to teach people how to practice mindfulness and reap the benefits for their mental and physical health.

Participants will learn skills they can then practice at home and on their own.
