The risk of contracting Lyme disease increases after a tick has been attached  for 24 hours or is engorged. Speak to your healthcare provider if you need help removing a tick or if you subsequently have a bullseye rash or experience flu like symptoms. There is a treatment for Lyme disease. For a map of Lyme disease risk areas and more click here.
