Physiotherapy Program

Physiotherapy assessment, education and treatment of acute and chronic neuromusculoskeletal and cardiorespiratory conditions.

This program is for: 

  • People who are unable to access physiotherapy services through private coverage, benefits or other funded services
  • People with impairment, dysfunction, injury and/or pain related to muscles, joints, skeleton, mobility and/or activity

Program Activities and Services:

  • Individual physiotherapy services including assessment and follow-up visits
  • Physiotherapist supervised group and circuit-based programs
  • Coordination with available community resources

Goals for Participants:

  • Optimizing mobility, physical activity and overall health and wellness
  • Preventing disease, injury, and disability
  • Managing acute and chronic conditions, activity limitations, and participation restrictions
  • Improving and maintaining optimal functional independence and physical performance
  • Rehabilitating injury and the effects of disease or disability with therapeutic exercise programs and other interventions
  • Educating and planning maintenance and support programs to prevent re-occurrence, re-injury or functional decline

FLU SHOT CLINIC

NFHT is hosting walk-in Flu Shot Clinics every Monday afternoon from 1 to 5pm in the lower level of Northumberland Mall. Starting Oct. 18 with a clinic for those over age 65 or at high risk, for details click here. High Dose is available, pending supply. Clinics will open to the general public in November and there is a Sat. clinic Nov 6 from 9am to 1pm.
