Foot Care Program
Assessment, treatment and prevention of foot conditions such as ingrown toenails, warts, foot ulcers and infections. Preventative foot care services for people who are at high risk for developing foot disease and those not able to safely do own foot care.
This program is for:
- People who are unable to access foot care services through private coverage, benefits or other funded services
- People with diabetes and peripheral neuropathy, peripheral arterial disease, charcot foot, ulceration, amputation or visual impairment
- People with a debilitating foot condition, progressive neuromuscular condition, rheumatoid arthritis, foot infections or warts
Program Activities and Services:
- Urgent appointments for patients with wound, infection and/or debilitating foot pain
- In-office procedures for ingrown toenails, wart removal and/or wound management
- Routine footcare for those at high risk for developing foot disease
- Routine footcare for those unable to safely perform own footcare (*4 visits per year)
Goals for Participants:
- To maintain or improve overall foot health
- Prevention of complications through foot assessment, care and education

How to Access:
- Physician, Nurse Practitioner or NFHT Clinician referral
